W Washington DC & Artist's Proof presents Works of Art. Join us for the official launch party showcasing paintings of D.C. Muralists.

The W Washington D.C. will host local muralists Decoy, CreativeJunkFood [Candice Taylor & Nabeel Bilal], Gaia, and Kelly Towles for a group exhibition entitled W.O.A. – Works of Art. 

This show of original mixed media paintings on canvas/panels serve to highlight the graffiti art in the city. Once considered 'outsider art,' the industry now, due to the likes of Fairey and Banksy, has embraced its form. Washington, D.C. has understood for some time how this style of art plays an essential cultural role in the city and thus can be seen all over the city, commissioned or very often unsanctioned. The W and Artist's Proof are excited to present a unique event in which four brilliant local artists will be translating their murals unto canvases for an exhibition in the brand new W's Living Room. The works highlight their stories of the city.
